David Horne

DIRECTOR OF INTERNATIONAL

David has been working at Bridge since 2010, having previously held multinational roles with both global and network brokers. He has extensive experience in cross-border and international insurance placements, including on understanding the nature of cover required to meet the challenges of multiple geographic, geo-political and legislative frameworks.

As a Global Executive at Brokerslink, David acts a conduit between Bridge and our network of brokers in over 132 countries worldwide.

Working in conjunction with colleagues in the International team, David is responsible for managing the service provision to MAG and providing strategic advice on all matters risk related, as well as considering alternative programme designs to meet MAG’s risk appetite and activities.

Stuart Thake

“I have over 30 years’ experience in the UK insurance industry. Having spent time working in both the City and regional markets I know the importance of understanding my clients risks and getting the best of price & product from underwriters.

It has been great working for Bridge’s International department getting to know some of my broking colleagues in Brokerslink across the World. This has helped me forge some great relationships, which in turn provides my clients with access to markets in each part of the globe. I’ve been able to find solutions for client’s who have previously struggled for understanding of their risks, due to the sometimes complex nature of global insurance cover.

Although I’ve been in the Manchester for over 10 years now, I still have family and friends in the London area. With my daughter at University in Scotland, I now spend a lot of my spare time traveling the country!!

“Since graduating in 2015, I have gained valuable experience in the insurance industry, having worked across various roles, including claims handler, SME broker, and currently, in the international department at Bridge. In my current role, I support the administration and placement of policies and programs, working with clients from diverse sectors such as retail, manufacturing, and technology.

Being part of the International Team has provided me with numerous exciting and insightful opportunities, allowing me to collaborate with brokers and insurers globally. This has not only expanded my professional network but also enabled me to facilitate efficient policy placements and resolve queries promptly.

I’ve been based in Manchester City Centre since joining Bridge three years ago and enjoy discovering new restaurant openings in the area.

Mandy Brook

Mandy has worked in the insurance industry for 40 years, the last 10 of which have been with Bridge. She has extensive experience of working with clients across the demining and high-hazard Personal Accident sectors, including with charities, commercial contractors and government bodies.
Mandy works in the International team in our Manchester office, providing a back-up point of contact for day-to-day activity, in support of, and in conjunction with, Amanda Tilbury and David Hughes.

I enjoy working on accounts ranging from large multinationals to the smaller UK office and professional risks. No two clients are the same all have their particular requirements!

Outside of work I enjoy cooking, particularly for friends, gardening and regular visits to the gym.”

“With over 15 years’ experience in the insurance industry, I specialise in delivering tailored insurance solutions to multinational clients. I currently work within Bridge Insurance Brokers’ International department, managing a diverse portfolio of large, multinational companies. My role is centred on understanding clients’ unique needs, securing the most competitive terms, and providing expert advice on appropriate insurance policies and levels of cover. For me, the client is always the priority, and I take pride in building strong relationships based on trust, expertise, and exceptional service.

Outside work, I’m a keen runner. Whether training for my next race or lacing up my running shoes to explore a new city, running is a major part of my life. I travel across Europe to compete in marathons, combining my passion for endurance sports with the opportunity to experience local cultures—and, of course, sampling the occasional local beer post-race!

“I entered the insurance world just over 30 years ago, at a high street broker in the private insurance sector. From there I gained further experience working for an insurer in the commercial insurance sector.

In 2004 I joined Bridge Insurance Brokers as a Client Service Executive in the corporate team. In 2014 I moved into the international team. Since then I have been supporting our international clients in assessing their risks and finding insurance solutions for them across the world.”
